Girls for STEM- Explore Your Opportunities

Our 2025 STEM conference proved to be exciting for everyone involved. In 2026 we will continue to be hosted by the University of Mount Saint Vincent who provides us with laboratories and rooms to conduct one-hour hands-on projects with professional women. Seventh and eighth grade girls from schools in Westchester and New York will have the opportunity to participate in this exciting one-day conference. Parents and teachers will be introduced to STEM education and how they can successfully guide their students through. Our exciting Mystery Woman Game will challenge parents and students to meeting women working in the STEM fields.

SAVE THE DATE – we have already partnered with the university for Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 8:30AM- 12:30PM. Students will participate in two hands-on labs while parents and teachers will discuss with professionals their role in introducing their daughters to STEM careers.

Registration will begin on November 10, 2025 on our website.

All participants will be charged a $15 fee for the day, which will also include a light breakfast and lunch.

STEM professional women who are interested in participating in our “Mystery Women Game” are welcome to contact us. We also need volunteers for the day to help to make the program move smoothly.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting day, please visit our website AAUW-girlsforstem.org or email us at AAUW.girlsforstem@gmail.com
