25th Annual Girls for STEM Conference a Huge Success!

The 25th Annual Girls for STEM Conference for 7th and 8th grade girls was recently held at the University of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx, NYC. It was a wonderful and engaging event hosted by the Westchester AAUW Branch and co-directed by Lorrin Johnson and Maria Ellis. The event combined both education and fun for all who attended!

Dr. Susan Burns, President of the University of Mount Saint Vincent, warmly welcomed the students, parents, Mystery Woman, workshop leaders, and our Westchester Branch volunteers. In addition, Sandy Camillo, President-Elect of AAUW-NYS and Abby Hirsch, AAUW-NYS Board Member, addressed the participants, highlighting AAUW’s mission to advance pay equity and expand educational opportunities for women and girls.
